Olympic gold-medalist supporting NCAA volleyball championships

Volleyball superstar, Kerri Walsh Jennings, is helping Louisville countdown to the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship

With only a month until the nation's best volleyball descends on the Derby City, the University of Louisville is igniting their final  by welcoming three-time Olympic gold medalist and former Stanford standout, Kerri Walsh Jennings.

Fans can still purchase all-session tickets to the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship finals coming to the KFC Yum! Center on December 13 & 15. All remaining lower level seats will be available for purchase in additional to upper level ticket packages.

Walsh Jennings, a 6-2 hitter, won two NCAA national championships while at Stanford University (1996 and 1997) and became only the second player in NCAA history to receive First-Team All-American honors all four seasons (1996-1999). She competed with the U.S.A. women's indoor national team at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney before teaming with former Long Beach State star Misty May-Treanor to win Olympic gold at Athens in 2004, Beijing in 2008, and London in 2012.

Walsh Jennings has been married to fellow professional beach volleyball player Casey Jennings since 2005. She is also mom to two sons, Joey and Sundance, and is expecting her third child in April.

Louisville, who has served as host for more than 50 NCAA and BIG EAST Conference Championship events over the past five years, is hosting their first NCAA national championship in Volleyball. The NCAA women's volleyball semifinal matches will be played on December 13 (7 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET) followed by the crowning of the national champion on December 15 (7 p.m. ET) at the KFC Yum! Center. The weekend will also include youth clinics, the AVCA National Coaches' Convention, and many fun fan events.
