LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The tree that will help Light Up Louisville has arrived downtown.
The tree was cut down Tuesday morning to be transported to downtown Louisville. The Beach family of Fern Creek planted the 60-foot tree in their front yard in 1980.
The family decorated the tree for many years. They're excited it will soon be decorated one more time and enjoyed by the entire community.
The Blue Spruce Tree is being called a "Community Tree." Tuesday afternoon, the tree will be set up at Fourth and Liberty Streets, which is a new location. This will be the 32nd year for Light-up Louisville, which is held the day after Thanksgiving.
