LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Court records say the man suspected in a Jeffersonville murder has admitted to the crime, but his formal murder charge won't come until Thursday.
28-year-old Antonio Walker is charged with the murder of 25-year-old Paris Hamilton, who was shot to death Tuesday at the French Quarter apartments. Family members say he shouldn't have been there because he was under house arrest.
A police affidavit says Walker admitted shooting Hamilton during "an altercation" in an apartment. It also says Hamilton was shot "several" times in the chest and stomach and died at the scene.
A woman claiming to know Walker told WDRB that Hamilton was trying to commit a robbery when he was shot.
