LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- An investigation is under way into the cause of a house fire around 8:45 Thursday morning at 26th and Cedar Streets.

When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke was pouring out of the front of the building. It took nearly two dozen firefighters about a half-hour to get the fire under control.

"The power line from the house fell onto one of our apparatuses," said Col. Jeff Botner with Louisville Fire and Rescue. They are checking it out now, looks like we are able to keep it on track after it gets tested."

No one was home at the time.
