WDRB learned some food pantries, shelters and churches weren't getting a large number of turkeys for turkey dinners this year.
All the donations help feed those in need this time of year.
WDRB's Keith Kaiser wanted to do something about that.
He got all the right people in place for the second annual "Donuts for Turkeys."
Friday morning, November 16th during WDRB in the Morning, people turned out at the Krispy Kreme on Bardstown Rd. For one frozen turkey and they received one dozen Krispy Kreme glazed donuts.
The turkeys will be distributed in our area with the help of Kentucky Harvest.
