Gas leak causes evacuations on Douglass Blvd.

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Several homes in the 1800 block of Douglass Blvd. near Norris Place were evacuated Friday after workers struck a gas line.

We're told a crew was digging in the area around 11:30 a.m. when a 2- or 4-inch gas line was struck, causing the leak.

Several homes along Douglass Blvd. were evacuated while the leak was repaired. Douglass Blvd. near Norris Place and Bellarmine University.

We'll have more information as soon as it become available.
