LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Family members and friends gathered to remember a man fatally shot this week.
Dozens stood outside in the cold near the apartment where 25-year-old Paris Hamilton was shot several times.
Hamilton's wife believes he was shot after a verbal argument with another man at the French Quarter apartments in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Police have arrested 28-year old Antonio Walker and charged him with murder.
Hamilton was on house arrest and was supposed to be a couple of miles away at the time of the shooting.
But his wife says they came to the apartment complex to visit friends.
"This violence has just got to stop, over a senseless argument, over something petty and stupid," says Hamilton's brother, Julius Hamilton. "It wasn't like my brother had a weapon or anything. This guy that done it deserves the damn death penalty... And it's just not right."
Walker appeared in court last week and court records show he confessed to police his involvement in the shooting.
