LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The crowd at historic Churchill Downs was encouraged to remember the golden age of the roaring 1920's Saturday night.

Saturday's night racing is the only one scheduled for the fall meet.

The mild temperatures made it nice for the first few races, but portable heaters were brought in for racing fans planning to stay for all 11 races.

In keeping with the 1920s feel, race fans were encouraged to wear gold, white and black as big band music entertained the crowd in the Paddock area.

The Downs after Dark tradition will likely continue in the spring meet as it has since the track first started the effort back in 2009.
