Wal-Mart union employees urged to skip Black Friday

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Wal-Mart will have Black Friday deals, but the big question is whether some workers will show up.  The union is calling for employees to skip work or walk off the job on Black Friday.

Now Wal-Mart is fighting back, filing a complaint with a federal agency, accusing the labor union of illegally organizing picket lines and other demonstrations.

A Wal-Mart spokesman says the striking workers represent a very small minority of its more than one million employees, and that the company is ready for the Black Friday shopping blitz.
