LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB/AP) -- The house explosion in Indianapolis that flattened much of a neighborhood and killed two people is now being investigated as a homicide, according to WXIN-TV in Indianapolis.
Earlier, hundreds of people turned out for the funeral of a couple killed in the explosion earlier this month.
According to the Indianapolis Star, Monsignor Tony Volz told mourners Monday there's no way to understand the deaths of 34-year-old John Dion Longworth and 36-year-old Jennifer Longworth.
The Nov. 10 blast that flattened their home and killed them devastated their neighborhood. Its cause is still being investigated.
Jennifer Longworth taught second grade at a Greenwood school. Each Christmas, she gave her students hats and scarves that she knitted herself.
Her husband was director of product development and technology at Indy Audio Labs.
WISH-TV reports the crowd at the funeral is so big that cars overflowed the church parking lot and lined up bumper-to-bumper in surrounding streets.
