LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Australian man who was found in Kentuckiana after chaining a fake bomb to a teenager in Sydney, has been sentenced to 13 1/2 years in prison.

Police arrested Paul Peters at his ex-wife's house in Oldham County in August of last year.

He was sent back to Australia a month later.

Authorities say he broke into a millionaire's home last year, and put the fake bomb on the girl, in an attempt to extort money from the man.
