LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky's Republican lawmakers plan to choose the next state Senate president on Tuesday.
Senators will vote by secret ballot to decide their next leader.
They will choose between Senators Robert Stivers and Bob Leeper.
Stivers is a Republican floor leader, and Leeper has served as a chairman for the Senate's budget committee.
The winner will replace former Senate president David Williams.
He left the state legislature earlier this month, to accept a judgeship in southern Kentucky.
