LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man has died after he was struck by a car in Louisville's Beechmont neighborhood Monday evening.
Police say the man was struck by a vehicle at the corner of Southern Parkway and West Southern Heights Ave. and that he died at the scene at around 9 p.m. Monday. The coroner's office has identified him as 41-year-old Lawrence D. Lynn, Jr. of Shepherdsville, Ky. The cause of death was listed as "multiple injuries."
LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell says police suspect that the pedestrian may have been under the influence of alcohol and that he may not have been using the crosswalk.
Mitchell says police do not expect to file any charges against the driver.
