Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o will be interviewed by Dick Vitale and Dan Shulman during the UK game Saturday.
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WDRB) – Dick Vitale and Dan Shulman are
in Assembly Hall here on Tuesday night to work the North Carolina-Indiana game,
but they're in no rush to leave the Hoosier state.
After the game, they're flying to South Bend, arriving a day
early so they can also work the Kentucky-Notre Dame at the Joyce Center
Thursday night. Vitale's daughters and one son-in-law attended Notre Dame, and
Vitale said he was looking for 11 tickets for Notre Dame's BCS title game
appearance.
"Did you know that Notre Dame (basketball) is 40-1 at home
in its last 41 games?" Vitale asked.
I knew the Irish were 38-1 over the last two-plus seasons
with the only loss coming against UConn last season. I'm sure Vitale has already shared the news with John Calipari.
Vitale also shared another news item: Notre Dame linebacker
Manti Te'o, a top candidate for the Heisman Trophy, will visit Shulman and
Vitale at courtside for an in-game TV interview on ESPN during the Kentucky game.
Be assured that Notre Dame is going to stir up every leprechaun Thursday night.
I haven't seen Te'o hoop, but I'm predicting he is the
toughest defender than Archie Goodwin and Alex Poythress will face all season.
