The Puss & Boots Old Time Holiday Shoppe helps animals around the community

Posted: Updated:

The Puss & Boots Old Time Holiday Shoppe is back on Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2. The annual tradition benefiting the Shamrock Pet Foundation and Shamrock Arrow Fund will be at the American Legion Highland Post at 2929 Bardstown Road.

There's going to be themed gift baskets, crafts, jewelry, sports memorabilia and hundreds of animal-related gifts. There will also be food vendors. You can shop while trying out homemade breads, sandwiches and more. Accomplished vocalist Annie Robinson-Burks will perform on Saturday at noon and 2:00 p.m.

Everything is donated. That means all the money raised over the weekend will go directly to spay and neuter programs and emergency care.

The Shoppe is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, the shop opens at 11 a.m. but still runs until 4 p.m.

The Shamrock Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to end pet overpopulation, reduce the number of companion animals destroyed in local shelters and to save or enhance the lives of animals in need in our community.
