Man charged with stealing iPhones at UPS

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A man is behind bars, charged with stealing more than a dozen iPhones.  Dautrick Smith said during arraignment on Wednesday that he lost his job at UPS after trying to pass 15 iPhones under security fencing.

The phones are valued at more than $10,000.

Police say he also tried to steal five additional cell phones from UPS valued at more than $3500 by wrapping them in napkins.

He is charged with theft and receiving stolen property.  Smith remains behind bars on a $2500 bond.
