32 new LMPD officers graduate

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer and Police Chief Steve Conrad welcomed 32 new officers during a graduation ceremony Thursday at Memorial Auditorium.  This is the first graduating class under the new chief. 

The group represents a wide spectrum of the community.  Twenty-three of the new officers are college graduates, and 11 of them served in the military.  Five members have come from other police departments.8

They join a force of about 1200 officers.
