Louisville, Ky. (WDRB) -- A train accident early Friday morning killed one man and police are looking for answers.
It happened at Valley Station Road near Dixie Highway just after midnight. That's when police say they received a call from the P & L conductor that the train had hit a pedestrian.
The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Larry Hadley, Jr. The coroner's office says he died of several blunt force injuries.
The train stopped less than a mile from the location but was not blocking any roads. Police say it's not yet clear what Hadley was doing on the railroad tracks. The coroner's office says he may have been homeless.
