LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)---56-year-old Donna Parris still can't believe that she was attacked by a stranger on Wednesday afternoon.
It happened at a New Albany BP Station along East Spring Street as she was heading to work!
"Walked in the store, got my cigarettes and come back out and was attacked," says Donna Parris.
Donna Parris lives nearby and stops here often, but says she's never had a problem before.
Although she saw two men on Wednesday standing outside the store, she thought nothing of it.
As she was preparing to unlock her car on the way out, you can see in surveillance video that one of the men approaches her and throws her down.
"He hit me upside the head and knocked me down to the ground and I was hollering for help and he said 'Give me your wallet," says Donna Parris.
She says the most surprising thing about this incident is the time of day it happened. Police say the incident took place around 3:45 in the afternoon.
"It happened in broad daylight and all the people that was getting gas and going in the store," says Donna Parris.
She believes the men were just looking for quick cash when they stole her wallet.
She has already canceled her cards, and is trying to replace everything inside.
Regardless, it's a crime that does concern her. She's just hoping others don't fall victim like she did.
"Be on the lookout. It could happen to you," says Donna Parris.
New Albany Police are asking for your help.
They do believe two men were involved and ask you to give them a call if you have information.
