LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana State Police confirm they have been asked to investigate an alleged bar fight involving two Jeffersonville police officers.
It happened a week ago at the Lighthouse Bar on Main Street in Jeffersonville.
One man was allegedly beaten up by three other men, including the two officers.
The fight allegedly broke out when one man, described as a bar regular, bumped into a group of people that included the two officers.
A bar employee, who says he was in another room when the fight broke out, told WDRB that two people allegedly held the victim down while a third assaulted him.
"Now, who held who down, I'm not sure, but I understand there were plain clothes policeman involved," says employee Dwight Thompson. "But who did the first initial pushing or so forth, I don't know who did it."
A state police dispatcher says the letter was sent to Indianapolis to determine whether to officially open an investigation.
There has been no comment yet from the city of Jeffersonville.
