LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Adair County man has been charged with first degree assault after police say he shot another man during a disagreement in Columbia, Ky.
Police say they received a call just before 6:00 p.m. Saturday about a gunshot victim at Westlake Hospital in Columbia.
Officials say the victim, 20-year-old Adam Haskiell, had a gunshot wound to the chest because of an altercation with 22-year-old Jeremy Luttrell earlier that day at a residence on Keen Wilson Road.
Haskiell was airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville where he is now in stable condition.
Police arrested Luttrell on Sunday morning and charged him with assault. He is now behind bars at the Adair County Jail.
