Ford Motor Company says sales are picking up

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Ford says its sales are picking up, thanks to strong demand for its F-Series pickups.  The automaker reports sales rose six and a half percent last month.  Small car sales were also a positive.

Sales of the Focus and the new C-Max were up over 50 percent.

Ford says it's increasing first-quarter production by 11 percent from last year, a sign of its confidence in the ongoing recovery in sales.

Ford's results mirrors the rest of the industry.  She sales pace has picked up because of rising consumer confidence and low interest rates.
