Keith Kaiser learns more about the 17th annual "Old Tyme Christmas on Frankfort Avenue" happening Saturday.
Olde Tyme Christmas Celebration Returns to The Avenue (Frankfort Avenue) on Saturday, December 8th from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
The celebration will include free trolley rides, .50 cent horse and carriage rides, special retail sales, live music, holiday refreshments, and an appearance by Santa Claus himself.
The schedule of events includes:
Homemade Bourbon Balls, Living Nativity, Craft Fair, Creche Display, and Bake Sale at Third Lutheran Church, located 1864 Frankfort Avenue.
Holiday Dog Walk from the Crescent Hill Library Parking Lot to The Comfy Cow for recognitions and return back to the Library. Prizes will be awarded for the most festive dog.
Ornament Making Workshop at the American Printing House for the Blind.
APH will host a workshop that will showcase methods and materials used by blind artists to make ornaments and decorations celebrating the spirit of Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa with guest instructor Patrice Will.
Santa Claus will pose for photos and give out candy canes at Margaret's Consignment, 2700 Frankfort Avenue.
The Sacred Heart Madrigal Singers will sing holiday carols while riding up and down the Avenue on horse and carriage.
