Keith Kaiser is getting into the holiday spirit by making glass ornaments at Hyland Glass.
Glass can be exquisite in its myriad forms, from the ornate windows of a Gothic cathedral to the crystalline webbing of a freshly vandalized windshield.
To start the class, students select their desired colors and the shape of their ornament. Then, with one-on-one help from a professional glass blower, students shape the ornament by blowing air through a moving blowpipe. Finished products are placed in an oven to cool overnight and can be picked up the following day or shipped within the United States or Canada for an additional fee.
Hyland Glass is located at 619 East Main St. in Louisville. You can make ornament at $40 a piece through December 23rd.
