LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The 12/12/12 date is popular with Kentucky Lottery players, which has led to one combination of tickets being sold out.
All the Pick 4 tickets with the combination 1-2-1-2 are sold out, because lottery rules limit the payout for any particular combination of numbers.
Tickets with the combinations 1-2-1 and 1-2-2 for the Pick 3 midday and evening drawings are still available, but the lottery's Chip Polston says, "We expect these remaining Pick 3 combinations will sell out today, especially when players see the 1-2-1-2 Pick 4 combinations have already been snapped up." He says anyone wanting those specific numbers should act quickly.
The lottery says it's records, which go back to June 1998, don't show any instances of 1-2-1-2 being drawn. It says 1-2-1 was the winning Pick 3 number on August 7 2010, and 1-2-2 was last drawn on August 24 2006.
