Man murdered outside Shively strip club

Louisville, Ky. (WDRB) -- Gunfire outside a Shively strip club killed a man early today.

Shively Police were called to the Dollhouse Gentlemen's Club on Seventh Street Road just after 2 a.m..

When they arrived, they found 37-year-old Terrance Smith dead in the parking lot from a gunshot wound to the head.

Police say 29-year-old Tony Whitfield has been arrested and charged with one count of murder in connection with the case.

Chief Kevin Higdon says several people were loaded into police cruisers to be questioned. "There were several individuals inside the night club. We're trying to get information from all of them. So we're taking them in and questioning them to get their side of the story."

Investigators believe most of the altercation happened outside the strip club. But they are releasing few details.
