LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More than 100 kids will get something extra under the tree thanks to a local church.
Carts were filled with clothes at a Louisville Kmart Thursday morning.
It's part of the St. Stephen STARS program, which is funded by a $10,000 grant from Kosair charities and the Damascus Temple Foundation.
More than 150 kids under the age of 13 will get new clothes for Christmas.
"The program was designed to give parents a safety net during this holiday season so that they at least would be able to supply their children with the necessities of life, such as clothing and coats and things they have," said Ebonne Ingram-Jones, of the St. Stephen Family Life Center.
The gifts will be handed out during a holiday party next week.
