LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Construction on the two new Ohio River bridges is projected to begin at nearly the same time next summer.
An Indiana Department of Transportation official expects construction on the east end bridge in June. That bridge will link Utica, Indiana and Prospect, Kentucky.
An official with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet expects construction on a downtown bridge linking Louisville and New Albany to begin in July.
Both new bridges are expected to open in 2016.
