LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A man charged with murder outside a Shively strip club claims it was self-defense.
Friday morning, a judge reduced 29-year-old Tony Whitfield's bond from $100,000 to $50,000. He'll be on home incarceration after he posts bond.
Whitfield is charged with one count of murder for the death of 37-year-old Terrance Smith. His attorneys argue he is a Ford employee who is not likely to reoffend.
They say he was legally carrying his gun and had a permit for it. Attorney Scott Drabenstadt says, "As you see from the citation, self-defense. We've talked to witnesses, your honor, this is an absolute justifiable self-defense case."
Police say they found Smith dead in the parking lot from a gunshot wound to the head.
