LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The man who served 14 years behind bars for a crime he didn't commit is suing the Louisville Police Department and Metro Government.

Last year, Kerry Porter was exonerated in the 1996 murder of Tyrone Camp.  Now he's filed a lawsuit claiming detective's misconduct resulted in a wrongful conviction.  He's demanding a jury trial.

Porter was exonerated after new evidence came to light and showed another man was connected to the crime.
