Bullitt County public official arrested for drug trafficking

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Officials in Bullitt County say a constable has been arrested in connection with drug trafficking in the area.

Bullitt County Sheriff's Office spokesman Mike Murdoch says that deputies with the High Intensity Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Constable Clifton Hudson for trafficking in a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Officials say the investigation had been going on for several months and that Hudson had been illegally selling prescription pain pills.

Hudson worked in the eastern part of Bullitt County and had been elected two years ago.

Police also say they found a ledger at Hudson's home that contained the names of customers.
