LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The family of missing teenager Ethan Bennett has confirmed the car that their son was driving has been found.
Ethan's father, Tony Bennett, says a body was found inside the car and that the family has no reason to believe it is anyone other than Ethan.
Floyd County authorities have confirmed that they found a car Friday on Skyline Drive in Floyds Knobs. They say the car was found 750 to 1,000 feet over an embankment and that the incident was a single vehicle crash.
Police say a body was found inside the car, but they have not identified the victim or released information about who owns the vehicle. Floyd County coroner Leslie Knable says the person inside the car was wearing clothing that matched that of Ethan Bennett. She says his drivers license and credit cards were also inside the car.
Knable says the car was found early Friday afternoon after Ethan Bennett's family had a private helicopter search the area.
Authorities expect to release more details in this case on Saturday.
The Floyd County Sheriff's Department and Indiana State Police are investigating.
