LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More than 200 needy kids around the area are getting Christmas presents, thanks to a local business.
Employees of Ford's Louisville Assembly Plant raised more than $40,000 to host a Christmas party for underprivileged kids in the community.
Kids gathered at the Union Hall on Fern Valley Road last night for Christmas treats, presents and visits with Santa.
Workers helped children from Childplace in Jeffersonville and the Newburg Boys and Girls' Club.
Some employees even brought their own kids to help give out the gifts.
"We just wanted them to know that it's important to give back," says Tonya Bibee. "Everything we have can be taken away very quickly. And we just wanted them to recognize the community."
Employees at the plant have been hosting the holiday celebration for almost 30 years.
