LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former PRP firefighter has been indicted on child pornography charges.

James Mason is facing several counts of possession of child pornography and tampering with physical evidence.

Mason was arrested last week after a family member called police saying they had discovered disturbing images on Mason's personal computer.

Police say Mason has admitted to officers that he's "sick" and needs help.

Mason resigned from the PRP Fire Department in June.
