LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- People will have to wait a little longer before being able to take a stroll on the Big 4 Bridge. A so-called soft opening set for the end of this month has been pushed back to late January or early February.
The reason -- a holdup in the fabrication of the railings. The 54-inch railings aren't expected to arrive until the middle of next month. Installing them could take several weeks.
When it does open, walkers will only be able to walk to the Indiana side and turn around since the ramp on that side hasn't been finished. That ramp isn't expected to be complete until this summer.
