Keith Kaiser is ready for the End of the World. He's preparing for the "End of the World Party" at Apocalypse Brew Works, happening Friday night.
Apocalypse Brew Works, 1612 Mellwood Ave., knows how to go out with style.
Friday night, it's the "End of the World Party," featuring beer, live music and two food trucks, with burgers from Grind and banh mi and poutine from French Indo-Canada.
The festivities will start around 5 p.m. and wrap up "when the world ends," after midnight, according to Leah Dienes, Apocalypse co-owner and head brewmaster.
The second event at The Taproom will happen the following day (existence of the world permitting) for the "You Survived Food Drive."
"We want you to take all your hoarded food out of your fallout shelter and bring it down to us, and we're going to donate it to local food banks," Dienes said.
Both human and pet food will be welcome.
Both the Louisville Dessert Truck and Get It on a Bun at Booty's will offer food.
At both events, a heated tent will provide overflow space for Apocalypse Brew Works' small taproom, which maxes out at 49 people.
