Man arrested for drug trafficking after Oldham Co. traffic stop

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police say an Oklahoma man was arrested early Saturday morning in Oldham County, after police found 20 pounds of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop.

Police say they arrested 72-year-old Arthur Penrod after a traffic stop on I-71 near mile marker 24.

They say they found 20 pounds of marijuana, more than four ounces of marijuana seeds, an ounce of cocaine, and $11,570 in cash.

Penrod was taken to the Oldham County Jail. He has been charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of cocaine.
