Suspects in Indianapolis home explosion case to be held without bond

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The three people suspected of causing the fatal explosion that ravaged an Indianapolis neighborhood will remain in jail until their trials.

Today, a judge entered not guilty pleas for homeowner Monserrate Shirley, her boyfriend Mark Leonard and his brother, Bob Leonard.

The judge also ordered the three to be held without bond.

They were arrested Friday on murder, arson and other charges following the November 10th blast that killed a couple.

Investigators say the three planned the explosion for an insurance payout.

The blast destroyed five houses and damaged dozens more.
