Lingua Health, a nationwide Speech-Language Pathology agency, will be hosting "The Power of Communication" on January 31, 2013, from 4:00pm-6:10pm. This CEU event will be free of charge and is Lingua Health's first Continuing Education opportunity offered in the San Antonio area.

Lingua Health, an ASHA CEU approved provider, is proud to announce their first Continuing Education Event at their San Antonio office in the Tuscany Heights Office Center on January 31, 2013.

Lisa Rogers, Director of Educating Diverse Learners, will present “The Power of Communication”, a session designed to provide evidence-based strategies that promote expressive communication that is functional across a variety of environments for students with autism spectrum disorders.

Lisa Rogers has been an educator for over twenty-five years, working with students with special and diverse needs. She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and certification in Special Education. Mrs. Rogers later received her M.A. in Special Education with an endorsement in the area of individuals with severe disabilities.

As the Director of Educating Diverse Learners, Mrs. Rogers currently works with educators, students and their families by way of consultation, classroom support and training in school districts. She also serves as a facilitator to professional groups working strategically toward common goals.
