LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are investigating a bank robbery where a man allegedly threatened to detonate explosives.
The BB&T Bank at 10404 Dixie Highway, just north of the Gene Snyder, was robbed at 3:23 p.m. on Dec. 27.
Police say the suspect told bank employees that he had planted explosives on the outside of the building overnight, and said they would explode if the alarm was triggered.
After receiving cash, the suspect (shown in the picture at right) left the bank on foot in an unknown direction.
The building was evacuated and a bomb-sniffing dog was brought to the scene, but no bombs were found.
No one was injured in the robbery.
If you recognize the man in the surveillance photos, you're asked to call the LMPD crime tipline at 574-LMPD (574-5673).
