LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- How much is a three-point loss to Louisville on the Cardinals' home court worth?

To the University of Kentucky basketball team, it was worth a one-spot jump in Ken Pomeroy's computer rankings. John Calipari's team moved from No. 13 to 12 after losing to Louisville, 80-77, Saturday.

Louisville maintained its place as the No. 2 team, one spot behind top-ranked Indiana.

Louisville is also Number 2 in the latest Sagarin ratings, but the Cards trail Duke in that formula. Indiana is ranked fourth, Kentucky 15th.

In the latest Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) numbers, it is U of L 7th, Indiana 18th and UK 53rd. UK was 55th in the RPI prior to the U of L game.

IU starts Big Ten play Monday at Iowa while Louisville hosts Providence Wednesday. Kentucky is also home against Eastern Michigan Wednesday.
