LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police have arrested a Louisville man and charged him with possessing and distributing child pornography.
According to an arrest report, police began an undercover investigation of 47-year-old Dennis R. Benningfield. Through the course of the investigation, police say enough evidence was gathered to obtain a search warrant.
During a scan of Benningfield's computer, police found at least a half-dozen pornographic videos involving children.
Police arrested Benningfield on Dec. 28. That's when they say he admitted downloading and viewing the clips out of "curiosity."
His computer was sent to the state's forensic lab for further analysis.
Benningfield was charged with distribution of matter portraying sexual performance of a minor.
He was being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
