Alleged serial bank robber appears before judge

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man accused of a series of bank robberies has pleaded not guilty.

Robert Manley appeared in court Thursday morning. He's accused of robbing four banks in the last week-and-a-half.

At one bank, authorities say he gave tellers a note saying he had explosives wired to the bank. No explosives were ever found.

The judge set Manley's bond at $250,000.

He's also not to have any contact with any of the banks he allegedly robbed. Manley's roommate tells WDRB he was using the money to feed his drug addiction to crack cocaine.
