LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened in Fairdale early Sunday morning.
Police say an older model Ford truck was traveling westbound on South Park Dr. near the overpass to the Gene Snyder Freeway when the driver went off the road and struck a concrete support pillar under the overpass.
The truck caught fire, and Fairdale Fire officers were able to put out the flames, but were not able to save the 19-year-old David Torrance, who died of his injuries at the scene.
Police say speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.
