LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are investigating a JCPS school bus accident.
Dispatchers say the accident took place at around 4:20 p.m. Monday at the corner of Brownsboro Road and Drescher Bridge Ave.
Police say the accident involved a school bus and a car. The school bus was JCPS #0424 and was transporting 15 students from Chenoweth Elementary School.
The bus turned in front of a Ford Focus, which hit the side of the bus, fire dept. spokesman Capt. Sal Melendez said.
The driver of the car has life threatening injuries and has been taken to University Hospital for treatment.
The parents of three students were taking them to hospitals as a precaution, Melendez said.
