LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they have arrested a suspect for trying to kill a man in a barber shop on Clay Street last month.
It began on Nov. 27, when the victim was talking to a female friend who was known to 51-year-old John Brown. Police say Brown walked up to the victim, introduced himself as "John," and told the victim that he was "more than a friend" of the woman he was talking to.
On Dec. 4, police say Brown walked into the victim's barber shop at the corner of S. Clay St. and E. Jacob St., and shot him.
"The bullet went through the victim's fingers, breaking the bones, and struck the victim in the chest, right above the victim's heart," police say.
The man was taken to University Hospital for treatment.
Police were called, and by interviewing witnesses and showing the victim a photo pack, they were able to identify Brown as the man who pulled the trigger.
Brown was arrested on Monday afternoon and charged with attempted murder.
