LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A local McDonald's manager has received the highest honor from the fast food giant.
Wanda Richards was presented with the Ray Kroc Award this morning. She's the manager at the McDonald's on Leitchfield Road in Cecilia, Kentucky.
The award is a national honor for the top one percent of the restaurant chain's managers across the country.
So what does it take to be selected? Richards says, "We had increases in our customer counts and we had an increase in sales and all that kind of stuff and we mentor a lot of young people as well and things like that."
Richards received a trophy and a pen and gets to go to an awards ceremony in Chicago. She also wins 25,000.
