LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The murder trial is underway for a southern Indiana man accused of stabbing his estranged wife to death. During opening statements, the prosecution told jurors Dale Bagshaw stabbed his wife Kelly 43 times.
It happened in November of 2011 at a Jeffersonville apartment complex. The couple had been married seven years, but had recently separated.
Bagshaw's defense team admits he committed the crime, but says he snapped in a jealous rage and doesn't remember that night.
The trial is expected to last for several days. If convicted of murder, Bagshaw faces up to 65 years in prison.
