LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A Jeffersonville High School student is in the hospital after being struck by a school bus this morning. It happened at the corner of 10th and Holmans Lane in Jeffersonville around 7:30.
Authorities say the student was alert and appeared to have minor injuries, but was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital.
Gary Green, Director of Transportation for Greater Clark Schools says, "The bus had came to a stop at that intersection and made a right-hand turn, and apparently the pedestrian walked out in front of the bus. He was struck."
The driver will go through drug and alcohol testing, which is standard procedure, and won't be driving until the investigation is finished.
