LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky now ranks tenth in the nation for its efforts to improve public education.
Governor Steve Beshear celebrated with education leaders today.
The achievement stems from an annual Quality Counts report.
It grades states in six categories and looks at everything from K-12 achievement to teaching standards.
Kentucky received a "B minus" grade in this year's report, behind only four other states.
